Sad and Disappointment

This week was not a very good week for me. Becos I was quite upset about my family members which I find that we are born to be selfish. That is also included me I must admit. Not only this but my Handphone was spoil. But one thing was good is that I can still use my old HP.
Whenever I was asked to do a favor, of cos I will try to fulfill if it was within my convenience reach as I know if they can do themselves they won't asked for my help in the first place. Ya I know helping others is actually helping myself to do good deeds no matter is friends or family, but what I find it sad is that whenever I just need a favor from them, WHERE ARE THEY?
I dunno why my mood sudden just drop and I actually find that I can cry when I today went to my Buddhism Video Guide. As I on my way to the place, my elder sis sudden sms me that she can't attend a play that I was involve in. Ok fine as she never promise that she will turn up. But I'm quite disappointed that what she has promise to teach me something she dun wan to teach. I mean is kind of putting me in a difficult position as I promise my members that I will help doing the pros and yet I was going to make an empty promises.
Earlier on when I invited my younger sister if she ever want to attend a play which I was involve, although she say she will consider but deep in my heart I had actually know the answer that she wasn't going. But I do hope she will come support me. In the end my guess was correct. She really didn't want to come. Is ok cos I know forcing people is kind of irritated.
Haiz...I will always be there whenever you need help, favors but when I need it, why am I always crying alone in my own world? Fine I recall always telling Jr that whatever you do,you cannot count on people. In fact in my whole life, whenever I need help or favor, most of the time is I count on myself to get it. Or rather exchange favor with my elder sister.
Haiz...having living for 20 plus years, I find that you really cannot find someone who will willing offer a sincere help or a sincere support from the close ones. Well I think I my mood is not very good is becos partly becos of the sudden death of MJ. Yesterday I watched 'memorial service' at channel 5 and I still can't believe he is gone. Although I'm not his fan but I used to listen to his songs in the early 90s during my Primary till Secondary 3.
Well hopefully tomorrow when I woke up everything will be fine. Ke going to zzz. Gdnite and sweet dream.

[Book Review] How Starbucks Saved My Life: A Son of Privilege Learns to Live Like Everyone Else - Michael Gates Gill

My sister borrowed this book from the library. And to tell you something, every time I read a book recommended by my Sis, I always have to PIA reading the book. Why? Because every time she gave me the times to read the book is limited. And I know that the book was already passed the due date. =p
Ok enough of the complaints. I find that this book very nice and emotional feel. I find that alot of things that this author mentions did really reminds me of 'Office Politics' that I used to observe when I worked at a Ex-Co last time. This book is actually telling us that working in a very high profile company, it is like a man eat man situation, and it make you feel that anyone can back-stab you anytime to get into your position IF you let go of your guards. Even a little mistake you'll make certainly gonna cost you get blacklist in your boss's list of 'incapable worker'.
This story is based on a true story by the author's experiences. He was a talented guy by the aged of 50, he was already a top position holder in his company. But unfortunately by the time he was going to be 60 years old, he was being fired and replace by younger employer to take over his job. He later set up his own business but closed his business when the business turn out to be a failure. He had ended his 25 years of marriage when he had an affair which get him a son (he had other 4 children from his previous marriage). Worse is that he had been he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. With no income, he was unable to pay for his medical and raise up his newborn son.
One day, he went to a Starbucks store to have his last cup of Latte when sudden a StarBucks staff came over to ask him if he would like a job in Starbucks. The author at first thought that it was a joke but he nodded as he is desperate need a job. The staff which he never seen before is called Cystal. Cystal hire Mike (the author) and Mike's life had turn into a change. Despite having to travel far for work, Mike actually find warm and caring from his Partners (Starbucks's staff all called partner's instead of colleagues), there he find the happiness which he could not find in his ex-co. He even find out the true meaning of life from Starbucks.
As months went by, Mike's children sometimes will turn up to visit Mike. Mike at first work from a cleaner, then to cashier, then to bar tender. From opening the store till to closing the store. Eventually, he was transfer to another stores which was just a few minutes walk to his house. From Starbucks, it wasn't all about coffee, it was about how to handle with customers with your warm smiles and communicate with customers. =)
If you interested int his book you may borrow from Library. But I heard from my sis that this book was very hard to borrow. You may try reserve it if you can't wait. Anyway, this was going to be film into movie and Tom Hank was the cast for acting the author. =)

This is the first time I'm watching a 3D movie. Although each 3D ticket cost $10-$13(depending on which days you are watching) each no matter whether if you are senior citizens, students or children. Actually I didn't know that me and my cousin were going to watch 3D movie as before we went to AMK Hub, I had actually see the website without noticing it was 3D. I felt that it was quite worth it as normally I watch a movie it will cost me about $7.50 - $10. I felt that I've only paid a more $2.50 for the 3D effect. But to Yan wasn't quite worth because she got student pass and she actually only need to pay a mere $6 for a normal movie. But anyway it was not she pay for her own ticket. =)
When me and Yan reached there, my eyes nearly drop on the floor cos it was such a long queue. Haven't I learn my lesson last time? I should have reach more earlier if I knew that it were gonna be such a long queue. But lucky that the staff actually open the slot and I quickly went to buy my tickets. Before we went into the room the staff actually wanted our ticket to stamp the word 'REDEEM' for borrowing the 3D glasses. I told Yan better handle the glasses wit care if not spoil I'm gonna kill her. LOL
The story is about how Monsters defeated Aliens to protect the Earth. Susan was getting marry. She was on her way back to the church when suddenly she saw a meteorite flying toward her, as she can't avoid it, the meteorite hit her. Lucky she was still alive and her Mom found her and bought her back to the church. While she was exchanging her vows with Derek, she sudden grow very big and taller. And soon a group of army, polices that send by the government came to capture Susan. They manage to knock her down.
When she woke up, she found herself being locked up together with other kinds of Monster in a secret places that the government use the place for keeping and observing the Monster. There, she make friends with a Cockroach that it had Ph.D. The slimy blue stuff that called 'B.O.B', the half look fish half look lizard called 'The Missing Link' and lastly the very cute giant bug called 'Insectosaucrus.
One day a type of Alien called 'Gallaxhar' had found his stuff which actually Susan had it inside her body when the meteorite hit her. The thing that hit Susan was actually called 'quantonium'. 'Quantonium' is actually a power that can destroy the earth. In order to get back, Gallaxhar had send a gigantic robot to retrieve back the 'quantonium'. Soon, the earth people get to know that Alien will be attacking the Earth. And the U.S. President Hathaway decided to allow the Monster to help in getting rid of the Alien.
Will Susan and her team able to chase Alien out of the Earth? Well I think you better go watch before it gonna stop showing on cinema.

My Most Favourite of Tom and Jerry Classic - Heaven Puss

Bought this Tom and Jerry Classic Collection VCD at Laser Fair just now while meeting Huiyi. I didn't expect that it contain my most favorite part where Tom go heaven. Anyway the Classic Collection got 12 in total which start from Volume 1 till Volume 11 and include a Greatest Classic Volume. But i didn't saw Volume 10. Wanted to buy all the Collection but realise that now economy is not good so I 忍心 to chose the part which contain my most favorite story. Anyway each Classic Collection contain about 13-14 stories.
Ok let me share with you one of my best story from this Volume 4 VCD.This story is about Tom chasing after Jerry until he get crashed by a piano when he pulled the long carpet. Then he find his soul leaving his body and he saw a long never ending escalator which it lead to the Heaven. When he reached Heaven, he saw many cats line up to be question by the officer which he was in charge of clarify the facts of how those cat end up dying. So that he can allow them to pass the gate to board the train (I think the train is going to paradise). When it was Tom's turn, he was not allow to pass the gate as he was not good to Jerry when he was alive. In order to allow him to board the train, he was given an hour to go back to get Jerry's signature on a forgiven certificate that he had forgive Tom. If after an hour and he is still unable to get Jerry's signature, he will be taken away by devil to live in the hell forever (The devil is the Dog).You can see how hard Tom is trying to gain Jerry to sign by giving Jerry a lot of food and even begging. Finally one hour was up and in the end he didn't even manage to get Jerry sign the certificate. And the devil appear which drag Tom all the way to hell and burn him. Tom groan in pain until he finally woke up and realised that it was after all a bad dream and was glad that he was still living. Being relief and happy, he went to find Jerry and hug and kiss him leaving Jerry wondering what has happened. =)
I don't know why I like this story so much. I used to think that if one day I die will I also get through the long escalator to board the train? Haa nice story and quite funny too. I hope to buy more VCD again. Anyway I think my Sis will buy ba. Cos she also like to watch it too. Even my dad like it too. Each VCD cost only $5 as they doing clearance sales. For those who are Fans of Tom and Jerry can go buy it. I think it cost about $60 for 12 VCD total. =)
